Beth Patterson, a Certified Financial Planner, founded Waypoint Advisors in 2001 to pursue her vision for providing objective, integrated and personalized wealth management services to families, foundations and other organizations. A financial advisor since 1994, Beth brings her experience and commitment to excellence in serving clients to Waypoint.
Beth graduated from Old Dominion University, Summa Cum Laude, with a BS degree in psychology. She also received her MBA degree from Old Dominion University and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honorary, Beta Gamma Sigma and Psi Chi National Honorary Fraternities. These dual degrees and a passion for both analysis and working with people suit Beth well in her chosen field.
Beth is a founding Director of Monarch Bank and serves as Trustee of both the Old Dominion University Educational Foundation and Chesapeake Bay Academy. She is a board member of the Greater Norfolk Corporation, Horizons Hampton Roads, and the Economics Club. In addition, Beth serves on the Hampton Roads Leadership Committee of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Advisory Board of Envest III, LLC. She is also a member of several professional organizations: the Financial Planning Association, Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council, and the Hampton Roads Gift Planning Council.
